what if was Shanks?

He may know where the last poneglyph is already and might even have the 4 pieces

but my expectations are

Revolutionaries > BB > Shanks > Akainu betrayed and imprisoned for 1000 years in the room of spirit and time

Tbh I was thinking the opposite

I was thinking each one of them have to be defeated first in order to weaken imu which is why during egghead with the Deus x Joyboy Haki Imu felt it through the marks

good question, it could easily be Shiryu if Oda just built the character up more but I don't think he's going for that. Either Mihawk or Venus would be most appropriate imo - he could even give Venus a youth buff so Mihawk's title stays intact. Either that or wait till we find out Imu starts resurrecting his old buddies and of course the strongest is a swordsman

If you think Blackbeard is the EoS villain, then why are you doubting that Shiryu is Zoro's EoS opponent?
Venus or Imu's buddy will only work if Imu is final villain.
Mihawk can work if he is Imu's evil twin or some fanfict like that. Shanks is not evil, he just has evil twin. As Shanks' friend, Mihawk seems to be a good guy too.

If Mihawk remains the good guy he is now, and considering he was Zoro's timeskip mentor, isn't his chance as EoS opponent just takes a hit?

Shiryu taking WSS title, and Mihawk losing his first title defense after 1300++ chapters would cause bigger meltdown

You’d be shocked. A lot of people actively detest buggy because he “waters down the yonko title” and crap like that. So if buggy actively surpasses all previous and present yonko it would be so peak.

Crocodile vs Jinbe always makes more sense than Crocodile vs Sanji.
There is a reason Oda hide Sanji in Little Garden arc, fight was postponed until Circus Guild arc.

I saw Gaban getting downplayed for not just "blitzing" Gunko but even if he blitzed her would the arrows even stop considering how the immortality works? Sommers got all of his limbs cut and he's still alive, just immobilized.
