- Gunko says “What is this memory...!!” and then we see another flashback panel. This time we see Brook holding the hand of a little girl and saying “Yohoho!! Becoming a pirate is my dream” (it seems they are in a place with music). We only see their silhouettes so we can't confirm if that little girl is Gunko but everything points to that.
- In the present Brook looks at Gunko saying “How similar they are...” and then Gunko runs towards Brook saying “Was it Brook!?”. But suddenly Imu's voice appears in all 3 God's Knights' heads.
This doesn't sound like an actual daughter imo, more so Brook probably saved her whilst serving in that royal convoy or w/e. He served in the West Blue were Gods Valley, Kano, Thriller Bark, Ohara, Ilisia (Not Lulusia), Ballywood etc are.
If he were her father, she wouldn't call him by name imo and I don't want Brook to be another deadbeat. Also we had one girl related with music abandoned by her father figure in Film Red too (cough) and although Gunko has a lot of similarities to Brook, I don't want him to be another child abandoner in the series but "goda" knows that Oda loves this stupid cliché.
This could be a sort of Senor Pink type backstory too. It's gonna be pretty emotional at least for sure. Very heavy.
I would have never expected major Brook lore in Elbaf and even a bit of backstory, Oda is really a troll and something else. But I'm glad at the same time. Brook fans have been starving to the point of being skeletons ironically. We might actually get a truly enraged, serious and thus going all out, demonic, "DEATH METAL" etc Brook soon too.
Fuck man, what a bizarre timeline we're in. I hope this will still become Usopp's arc once the Heaven World gets involved too but honestly after Egghead and Wano, I have almost zero hope. Maybe Lodestar, another island/arc will be Usopps arc, hopefully the Red Haired Pirates arc especially if the SHs actually face them as they should or the Blackbeard Pirates arc even. I'd love Sniper Island to be a real place and a brief arc though, oh well.
Quite an interesting experience to muse on all of this as this plays for me in the background (I've not played Nier yet though):
