The intriguing thing is Teach's "bloodline". When Saturn mentioned it, Devon reacted like: “Oh, so you know about it?” implying that it's not of the D. initial itself, but what it is.
They could be a line of vessels created to house the primordial beings from the Harley texts, a bloodline that was either engineered or chosen to survive the fall of these gods, waiting centuries for their return. With Luffy/Teach being the end of the hosts line.
THE BIGGEST RED FLAG was Vegapunk's speech which was interrupted the moment he tried to reveal that:
"within you there is..." > a primordial god.
Was it a coincidence his speech stopped when he was about to say that?
It explains why Imu mocked the current D. members for not knowing what it stands for, and why he snapped the moment Cobra muttered D., he doesn't want the revival of any primordial being like him that can take over the world.
