Hm, I think you're reaching tbh, Vegapunks knowledge comes from Ohara's books, which were only based on some records that still existed from the void century, and Vegapunk didn't even know much about that either(he didn't know why the war happened iirc). But who knows I guess. I do think it is worth pointing out that Saturn was low-key more interested in Teach and talking about his lineage then he was wrt Luffy though

Compare this to when he arrived to Egghead, he wasn't really interested at the SH at all, except for the fact that Franky showed loyalty. I think Teach's ancestor is more important then Luffy's at least.

Imu surely doesn’t need help in Mariejois. However he knows another world war is coming due to the return of Nika and he wants Elbaf before that war really begins.

The MJ conflict is probably a relatively minor thing that is reflective of worse times to come.
