Too much slander for him not doing anything himself (sitting on his desk, looking east, not going to save people etc.). On a global scale he is the biggest bad guy in the world. Yes, Yonkos have their own empires and territories but they dont come near Dragon on the global scale (individually). If it was a chess board and the WG is on one side with Imu their king then the opposite side's king is Dragon.

This is probably the first time in WGs history that MG has actually been placed under a siege. The WG is losing allied kingdoms, getting besieged in their own land. The Holy Land is feeling the pressure that it has not felt for many years. The pirates have never threatened them the way the RA is doing right now. The pressure is clear that WG needed to get the giants (the strongest nation) as their mercenaries so quickly. They could have manipulated the politics or other longer term methods but their hand was so forced that they immediately went to kidnapping the kids.

The RA will put some real hurt on the WG and in the chaos BB will have the opportunity to gain a real advantage/power from MG.

its what they tried with Harald. good guy Loki destroyed their plans.

RA is the biggest threat to the WGs rule. That much was clear when they invaded MJ during Reverie and it was said that "over half" the nations belonged to the WG. Which means at least 1/3 does not or else it would have been worded "over 2/3 belong to WG".

I really do not know why people try to meme that Dragon is not doing anything? Maybe they are unable to comprehend that while he does not do things on panel he is still doing things. And is very successful at that.
If Dragon is not doing anything, how did he wrangle multiple countries from the WGs rule? That is also only the tip of the iceberg since we were never shown what else he did.
You can not form and maintain an army of the size of the Revos by doing nothing.

Yeah I meant that they were so pressed that they did not wait for even the day to end. If Loki agrees okay, if not then we go hostage route.

It's not slander, just logical thinking based on real world scenario. From what I have learnt, rebels usually come in small numbers compared to the official ruling government. Because of how small they are, they work on the shadow doing stuffs that against the government's interest.
Dragon of course did something, he is the mastermind of the organization but Oda never shows them.

Raids are hit and run types of attacks, you hit with speed, take what you want and run away.
Sieges are you plan to conquer the place, you are going to beat the opponent or make them surrender, you are here to stay.
Raids are acts of aggression
Sieges are pure war

Yeah I should have explained better
If the alliance instead of sneaking in during the party when the opposition was drunk chose to surround the whole island, preventing anyone from going in or out and started destroying the defenses to slowly break them down then it would be a siege.
