Because ever since the reveal the clearest indication was the haki trails and sfx, both which Gaban has in this chapter

Issue is Gaban views Loki as superior to him and he gave up against G5 and Zoro, depending on what GunkImu does it doesnt matter that Gaban was taken out early.
