In light of what we've learned about Imu, something occurred to me:
In the "Witcher 3" game, at one point we meet a monster called (in the Polish version) - "Him"
Him - very rare and dangerous species of ghost[1], leading a parasitic lifestyle. It chooses people who have committed terrible crimes as its hosts. It speaks to them through voices in the head and extremely realistic nightmares, taking more and more control over them. It brings suffering to them, thanks to which it grows stronger, plunging them into madness or slowly driving them to suicide. It is afraid of the light and always tries to stay in the shadow, which it resembles.
