there are also no hard df rules beside the DF weakness, we have special logia, zoan with 2 quality of awakening, and so on.
Like lets assume for a moment Imus powers are fruit, so his power can:
- give people immortality
- give people different set of powers
- teleport
- lend (?) haki
- body jack people
- summon different kind of weapons through a "magic" book

But anyway, Orochimaru was never actually below Itachi. Itachi couldn't kill him without the Totsuke blade for a reason

Yeah this is my issue with Garp, Oda tries to make him look like a "good guy" and moralizes him more than the other marines, but he's just as bad as all of them.
Like with Sakazuki the story doesn't try to make you think he's a paragon of good morals or whatever and make it clear he's (deeply) flawed. Same with other marines.
But with Garp the story is clearly pushing him as a righteous and cool character when he's just barely above Aramaki in ethics.

The difference is that the story doesn't pretend Greenbull or Akainu or Kizaru or even Fuji to an extent are righteous the way it does with Garp.
