15 years later,Minato and Itachi fans are coping, their favorite characters don't even think it's their place to criticize Hiruzen and Danzo, let alone anything else. They make so many fan fictions where they're rebel god kings and self obsessed Shonen trash like their son and brother actually are, they forget the actual Canon.
Itachi isn't viewed as above any Sanin or Hokage, confirmed by not only his own words, but his partner kisame, who respects him so much he thinks about Itachi when he dies. Despite Itachi giving Orochimaru ptsd from genjutsu, orochimaru and the sound village are legitimate competitors to the Akatsuki, with both sides following the others move. Despite the Akatsuki originally being so secretive that they were going to kill Kakashi for even knowing about it,none of them are willing to take out Orochimaru as a legitimate traitor to the organization who's famous on a worlds stage. Despite the fact that Itachi was willing to scare the leaf village to "remind them he's alive" when orochimaru recruits Sasuke with obvious plans to steal his body, Itachi spends his time finding a secret sword to seal him away, he doesn't go for a confrontation.
Minato is most likely the weakest Hokage, maybe aside from Tobirama. Nothing was ever implied otherwise, not even in part 1,where Hiruzen is described as the strongest, and Hashirama and Tobirama are called the ultimate Shinobu. His edo was only stopped by Hiruzen because he finally noticed what the Jutsu was. Stop leeching off of Hashirama who died likr 70 years ago being above Hiruzen, Iruka knows how strong minato is, the generation after Minato died have a cult of personality about him and see him as the greatest martyr in Konoha history
