If Luffy had been to one to Fight Mr.1 in Alabasta instead of Zoro, would he have unlocked Haki? Or at least a "Proto-Version" of it like Zoro did with the "Breath of Things"? Or would Luffy have come up with A more creative way of beating Das Bonez, like how he used Water and later Blood to defeat Crocodile?

Zoro Unlocked Gentle Blade & Strong Blade against Daz Bonez (His Equivalent of Gear 2/3),
Daz Bonez was basically Zoro's Lucci,
And every Saga Introduced someone like that, basically a Supernova similar to Luffy & Zoro, or you could say They are Re-Skins of Smoker,
Luffy without Gear 2/3 can not hope to Defeat Daz Bonez, Wyper, Lucci, Zombie Ryuma & Sentomaru,
Even Haki wouldn't be enough cuz He would still require the Speed & Strength Boost to make his Attacks actually count.
