I understand your emotions and feelings - i'm not that drastic - but come on, is this story going anywhere at all?!?!?!?
I understand that Page One and Ulti joining Yamato's team is quite interesting - but if that's the only somewhat interesting thing that comes out of this "story" then Oda should have presented it as part of the "around the world" chapter and it would have been better/faster.

At worst, he could have just done a cover story for it instead of this stupid Yamato cover story. I can't believe I expected we might actually get to see Pluton, the old Wano, maybe Ryuumas grave somehow, maybe even the ghosts of Oden and Toki, if Tokis DF is in Wano or not, the true name of Onigashima etc in this cover story although I know some of those are huge stretches and VERY optimistic thinking ofc.
Fuck man, I absolutely hated the Capone cover story and it dragged on forever, I didn't like the Jinbei cover story too much, it was ok but not amazing or anything but they are so much laughably better than this mukbang adventure where Yamato, the daughter of Kaido the Yonko and his "trump card" ideally cannot even handle one of his executives and his fodder, when she was going against Kaido himself before and blitzing Ulti before too.
But then again Yamato didn't even get a proper all out fight due to Odas sexism and Carrots big fight was shared with Wanda and they both lost to a handicapped/missing arm Perospero offscreen whilst they were both in Sulong ffs. (Well it wore off before they lost due to the moon being covered but still) and Yamato wasn't as much help vs Green Bull as she should have been and forgot she even had a GOD FRUIT by this point.

I swear - if the Yamato cover story doesn't end with something like "Big Mom's return" or "Kaido is still alive" hype reveal - it will be the biggest waste of space and paper in the 21st century FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.
I still hold onto some cope that their "deaths" triggered their awakenings and ironically the ones who beat Big Mom, Kidd and Law who also recently got awakenings before Big Mom with no explanation (and I presume due to near death experiences, as we saw with Law in Dressrosa to especially when Doffy "50 Cent'ed" him.), then Kaido and Big Mom should hopefully get awakenings and come back.
Given their history with Rocks and some mysteries/unresolved plotlines and how forced and rushed, asspully as hell their defeats were even as a Kidd and Law fan myself ofc, they have to return. Oda loves his characters too much not to bring them back, hell he even brought back, Foxy and his crew, Gin and Krieg recently in the story! And Wapol recently too ofc.
The Yonkos were the original main villains of Odas 5 year plan for One Piece, the original concept for the story, I refuse to believe he's done with them just like that. Kaidos' VA was distraught, confused on how Luffy suddenly beat Kaido too, he was so confused on how Kaido's role was over just like that and that he was gone. Oda really fucked up bigtime.
