Yeah because he said that DF did not matter .
Once you have great haki that is what it take to rule the world which is why he used Roger who did not have a DF as a eg .
He also said luffy need to get better at using AdCoC which we though luffy did when he came back now we know there even higher level .

Massive admiral upscale, admirals will be defeated by zoro sanji with advcoc better then yonko goofy who defeated kaido @Kurozumi Wiwi @EmperorKinyagi 
I have to respect Zoro fans (that hate Sanji, so this doesn't apply to all of them) for their tenacity but sometimes you gotta know when to close up shop
If I'm a pro-Zoro anti-Sanji guy the millisecond Gaban is introduced with all that hype as the "left hand of the Pirate King" I'm cutting my losses and acknowledging the L
As soon as Gaban became a relevant old man like Rayleigh instead of irrelevant like a lot of people assumed it was pretty much over
I was always on the train that Sanji might get ACoC but I could easily see Oda leaving that as something that's exclusive to Luffy and Zoro amongst the crew (with Usopp unlocking basic CoC) kinda like supernova status
But with the number 3 of the Roger Pirates being hyped and also considered legendary alongside Roger and Rayleigh? The writing was on the wall
