If Luffy's ACoC is genuinely weaker than Gaban's then Gaban can pretty much definitively do shit like this.
Which would unironically upscale the Holy Knights by a lot even if they don't have Kaido's raw stats just because somebody like Sommers was able to block Gaban's axe strikes onehanded.
I'm not gonna be some idiot that says this puts Holy Knights above Kaido, but this does absolutely leave the previous generation Yonko Commanders in the dirt.

I wonder what that says about Loki that he’s seemingly a much straightforward character who doesn’t even get to be the main pov character in his own flashback… seemingly he’s just a guy who was an asshole as a kid and was framed for murder and that’s it… that’s all there is to him

The DF guys try 24/7 to denigrate Kaidou's statement because his favorite simply doesn't have Coc.
They're kind of trying to equalize DF ~ Haki, when in fact the big shots have both a strong DF and a strong Haki, which makes it impossible to compare, for example, a monster like Kaidou with one of the strongest DFS in existence and Acoc with Kizaru.

Zoro being unaware of having CoC feels weird because the fight with King sort of made it feel like Zoro understood it. But him being unaware of it for so long reminds me of Ryuma who was unaware that he was the sword king.
The other part is Sanji asked Gaban twice about his CoC, first Gaban said/pointed it was Zoro and next time Loki interrupted.

I don't think the gap between Sommers and the Admirals is even close to that wide.
I could believe the gap is wide enough that they could BFR him.
Wide enough that they could pick him up and drown him. That's a bellamy level of gap. Sommers would need to be like Drake level for me to buy that idea, and I don't remotely believe he's anywhere close to that level of weak.
