The timeline doesn't match up for shank.

Bonney is 13 rn. So she was conceived 14 years ago.

But Harold died 14 years ago. So shank would have had to stay in Marie joa for at least a year after meeting Harold for him to be Bonney's dad. Which I don't think is the case.

And also, it completely goes against shanks character.

After all, Kaidou never had to face an immortal being to prove such a capability. However, there are signs and even strong chances that all the members of the Rocks Pirates were aware of it, since the Holy Knights were present at God Valley.


The main point is that Kaidou and Big Mom meet the minimum requirements for this application. And what are those minimum requirements? Possessing CoC, and more importantly, AdCoC.

The situation with the admirals is more complicated, as they don’t even have the most basic requirement needed to build a hypothesis in the first place: Conqueror’s Haki itself. They’re the ones who are truly at a disadvantage.

Strongest swordsman yes. Specifically relating to swordsmanship. Kaido isn’t the strongest simply because he is WSC anymore than Mihawk is the strongest because he is WSS. They are the best in their category. There are greater factors than simply fighting style like Haki for example, which is Shanks greatest attribute.

Gabans Coo is so good he sensed Zoro leaking Coc all the time. If his coo is that good. sanji doesn't have coc. Or his coo feat is a fraud and he couldn't sense sanji having coc which means sanjis coc must be too weak to be detected by him.

Holy shit, the Shanks lore drops are amazing.

This is the most I've been excited about One Piece in years. I might actually start reading the chapters again. I hope some great backstory and narratives are in store for us (not gonna hold my breath with current Oda tho).
Unfortunate that the discussions are all about conqueror's haki, which admittedly is a very poor decision from Oda IMO.

It really does seem that Shanks legit returned to becoming a celestial dragon once he grew up, pretty much fully confirmed.
What do you all think made Shanks quit and return to the surface/seas?

Same shit for me. I've been avoiding reading the chapters but only taking a look at some spoilers since a year or so. This chapter is actually that good I might start reading the manga itself again.

Even Luffy could feel Zoros CoC. Most CoC users just don’t ooze CoC constantly
