Pretty sure that just had to do with Luffy initially being unable to sky-split while directly clashing with Kaido. Once Luffy gets KOd and returns, he's got enough control of his ACoC to finally do the sky-split.

Pick your poison, either way doesn't look too good for Sanji imo

option 3: Sanji has it but it’s still dormant and he hasn’t awakened to it yet which is why it can’t be sensed by Luffy/Gaban.

Zoro’s conquerors may have only starting leaking out passively once he awakened it which I’m assuming would be when he used Asura against Kaido.

It’s either this or Sanji simply doesn’t have it at all imo.

Time moving slower doesn't really stop Gaban from aging? But regardless might not necessarily be time per say, could also be perception and coming to think of it the issue of perception is standing out quite a bit on Elbaf, be it the M3s inability to sense the danger on Elbaf due to the sheer scale of the island or Gaban thinking only 3-4 years had passed since Roger died when it's been 10 in actuality.

zoro thinks his coc is another coa and he was able to tap into acoc because of his understanding of haki flow

before gaban told him
