imo, he just bought those guys when he was at Mariejois.

It makes a lot of sense imo. Luffy started the SHs by saving Zoro from being executed by Helmeppo/Morgans.

Saint Shanks did the same thing. He saved Ben from slavery by buying him, and maybe other current RHP officers. He then freed them and took them out to sea with him.

I think this is what happened he met Noble family before he formed the crew because Roger revealed his true family were Figarland . I don’t think he went again it connects the timeline he visited them before Roger got executed .

I don’t think both Saint Shanks and Beck are nobles as I would think Oda would try and contrast them.

But I suppose the RHP could be full of CD defectors. Though kinda hard to believe when you look at what happens to most people raised in MJ. Only Homing and Myosgard ever had a change of heart.
