Imu is mysterious, yet there's already hints which point to who he is, probably an old king that benefited from the immortality surgery, his powers probably come from a very powerful zoan fruit.

Depends on the translation, in the context it was more like neutralize than absorb.

There's a difference between speculation and theory supported by facts, Ivankov had facts which make a whole lot of sense.

We don't even know what "them" was referring to, they might've said "them" because they figured out Teach was there with his crew and not alone.

Marco said Teach has an abnormal body, so Teach managing to eat two fruits isn't as surprising to Marco, after all Teach doesn't even sleep, still Marco had absolutely no idea how exactly he used two fruits simultaneously.

In Imu's case however, the only question is does King Nerona Imu exist? Yes or no? Did Ivankov just baselessly make up that character?

Getting erased from history would make sense, but the problem is that even Sengoku who knew about people erased from history like Xebec was surprised that Teach could use two fruits.
