Yes, Xebec's portrayal isn't even better than Kaidou's in terms of hype.
Kaidou:
- Strongest living creature in the world
- King 1x1.
-Strongest living pirate
- Strongest man in the world.
- The toughest man in the world.
- Strongest drunk in the world.
What's up with Xebec?
Was he captain of WB, Kaidou, Big Mom when they weren't at their peak? He failed to control them because the crew had direct internal conflicts, this even being referenced as one of the possible causes of his downfall. For God's sake, Xebec is strong, he is and I would put him in the top 4 easily, but he is NOT stronger than Roger, WB and Kaidou.

Many Mihawk fans know he admitted inferiority to pirate King level several times and that's why many try to downplay Shanks, the guy who is clearly on that level, because they still have to say Fraudhawk is above him

"let's see the power gulp between us and that man" Mihawk literally putting himself closer to other people than Whitebeard, while Shanks defeated Loki when Roger's equal Gaban couldn't.
Accept the Manga, you talk about but titles, why do you ignore Mihawk putting himself on the same level of others and wanted to test the power gap with someone Shanks is on the same level?

I mean it’s just sad, first Loki massively outclassed Kaido from a single seastone cuffed hammer swing, and now Xebec completely invalidates Kaido’s nothing career of losing to Oden and ducking from Ace.
Oda proved that he could have had Kaido simply kill another top tier if he wanted to, he had Xebec kill an Admiral but never gave Kaido even a mere Yonko to kill. He had the pirate king and Garp double team Xebec while he had a bunch of Yonko commanders wear down Kaido until Nika could body him, and then he had Nika be completely humiliated against Kizaru, Warcury, and Gaban.
It’s over man. Let’s remember Kaido for what he was, a slightly stronger post timeskip Moriah with a reputation that only fooled in series and irl ignorant fodder.
