While the chapter itself can easily be integrated into the story, since it doesn't disrupt it, the movie can't, for obvious reasons.
But Shiki has been incorporated into the canon not only through chapter 0, but being shown as part of Rocks pirates, the old lady copying his face in Wano, etc.
So much that a lot of people bet their undies that Shiki would be the one appearing here in Elbaph instead of Gaban.
Shiki is as canon as Ryuma.
