B-b-but I thought divine departure wasn't swordsmanship because it doesn't cut!!!
Its Unique bro,
Now Mihawk's title doesn't just exclude Haki-Men it also includes unique swordsmen.

The Pool of Contenders keeps becoming shallow and shallow.

Zoro better watch out, his Santoryu is pretty unique too.

Reborn

Throughout Heaven & Earth,I alone am d Honored One
It actually fits

As BB he panics or runs away

As Xebec - he's more brutal (killing thatch or neg Board)

As Davy jones or like octopus - he's calculative or opportunistic (like planning to join WG to reach ID)

And, because of all these personalities or souls, he never sleeps.

This can make his body abnormal....and, perhaps this is why his body structure is weird as well. Only important character who has thin legs, narrow shoulders but a big belly.

The pinnacle of Swordsmanship is CoA, not CoC..

Xebec, Roger, Whitebeard, Shanks, Big Mom, Garling >> The World Strongest CoA Swordsman..
I think I got a better understanding of black blades now

I could make a post but essentially (and this is the tldr):
Forging is also shaping, and therefore you're reshaping the blade in alignment with the cast of your own soul/spirit/will

You have to bend the sword personality to your will which we know, but when you temporarily create a black blade via armament, you're merely reinforcing it's personality, you aren't actively forging/shaping that personality to your will. This is what enma's personality is tied to as well, dwindling the users spirit to reinforce it's own identity, Oden had the mastering it's personality part down (wielding light as a feather), but that's only step 1, he didn't complete bending it to his will. He was merely putting up with Enma efficiently, so to speak.

It's like the swords personality is the cast, and you're just pouring your spirit/soul into it, but you ain't reshaping to match your wills cast type deal.

A residue of his soul was in the blade though, which is why Kaido sensed oden's spirit from it, he was going down the process of forging a black blade.

Xebec, roger, wb shanks etc, they all just reinforcing their swords personalities, they aren't bending their blades to their will actively, Mihawk is in perfect alignment with his blade and has poured his spirit and moulded yoru's cast to match his own.

Forging is shaping, and you're reshaping the blade (not in a physical sense but spiritual) to be in perfect alignment with your will, that's what makes a blade the most elite. That's why it's dependant upon the user's strength to truly tame their blade.

Therefore, the strongest sword in the narrative, and the most elite blades (black blades) are aligned with the swordsman's will, what they want to cut and protect.

I don't think ryuou like roger and shanks use is achieving this, it's not aligning the blade with your will to not cut, you're just preventing your blade from cutting via coating it in a layer of defensive ryuou. For that reason I'm starting to think ryuou is actually not breath of all things.

And xebec is just going in the opposite direction, you know how kenpachi's blade in bleach is just a jagged mess, yeah, xebec is a brainless brute.

Shanks fans way of arguing is dumb
They should accept that Shanks is swordsman
Anyone who uses swords is swordsman
Mihawk will defeat anyone in sword duel
If Whitebeard or Kaido start using sword, they will lose against Mihawk in sword dual
Doesn't mean they are weaker than Mihawk. They will just lose in SWORD DUAL but will win the battle.
Swordsmanship is just one of the many ways Shanks can fight.
