op editors don't have that kind of pull anymore. They're all scared of oda and just yes men at this point.
I think it is more that oda himself rushed recent chapters to get to 1157 as the opening chapter of God Valley.
Cause we first learnt of God valley in chapter 957. We learnt of Rocks' exploits and his insane crew structure in that chapter. So, oda being a numbertard and all, probably set it up so that the actual god valley flashback landed exactly 200 chapters from that, in chapter 1157.
Well that is only if we do get the full scale god valley flashback in next chapter tho.
