• Zoro sensed the breathe of not only swords but also rocks, trees, stones, inanimate things, even the DF within a person, displaying there's levels to sensing (CoO)
• Zoro put his will into his sword making it blunt (AdvCoA)
• Zoro put his will into his sword making it capable of damaging DF users (CoA)

BoAT is the capabilities we see top tiers wield casually it's not redundant or pointless.

Lolden also had VOAT even though he didn’t need it and never used it.

Tapping into energy outside of himself, energy that belongs everywhere, would cause him to power up and temporarily remove the energy limitation he has that causes him to suddenly revert to regular form.
