Sanji's backstory has been foreshadowed since Mock Town and WCI is centered around Sanji and his family. Judge was in the MADS and Germa had its own cover story. The Germa stuff is an ungoing storyline whose climax will be reached here on Elbaf, presumably.

The mink drug has been used once to revive Zoro and never mentioned again

While it is true Nika was mentioned just a few chapters before Luffy's powerup and that everything came out of nowhere, Nika and Luffy's fruit have become more important for the plot of the entire manga

I really don't think Zoro could've beaten Queen.

Me neither. Without Hiyori song, Enma would have bogged him down so much Queen would have killed him. Not to mention the barrages of lasers, Zoro's greatest weakness

Well Sanji at least had one whole arc of preparation with backstory and everything well structured. Although I still don't like it and feels forced.

Magic pil is a bullshit of course but we have Chopper pills since his introduction.

So none come close to the Nika asspull.
