The problems with this Oda's decision is that:

1) GV incident never was a threat to WG
2) Rocks Pirates never came close to defeat WG (I always thought WG was desperate because of Rocks)
3) GV (the greatest event of the old gen) is less important than Marineford
4) Xebec wasn't the big deal (it is Davy Jones)
5) No need of all mysterious stuff surround GV incident

The only thing that still ok is: the secrets Xebec know to defeat the WG. Its still a big deal

Oda really made the Roger Pirates help slavers (the CDs) just to claim Shakky. This is actually worse than the Kaguya plot twist tbh

Depends what the end goal is. Events triggered by something involving Shakky is ok. Happens all the time irl even, people have shed blood over women, but Shakky can't simply be the goal, she can be a trigger that starts something greater and it's still salvageable.

I was wondering why there was heat towards Shakky outside of Sanji scaling but her being specifically coined as the "treasure of beehive" along with Garp saying that they stole a certain treasure from there makes me think that's the connection

So we're probably either gonna see the Marines attack beehive and she gets stolen Cammie style or it's actually Harald that attacks Beehive to try and kill Xebec and she gets stolen Ginny style during the commotion

And that one action leads to the death of Xebec and the end of the Rocks Pirates
