So in all seriousness, this chapter does sound like a build-up story.
It does seem as if Kong is appearing more often, but idk if that's solely because of his role at the time, or because Oda is setting him up for something.
I'm not sure I can see Harald killing Rocks, but if he did it will probably be like Kizaru on Egghead.
Maybe he betrayed the WG and they found out so they had him killed?
Shakky looks like Nami but kinda feels like an old gen Robin IMO.
Both of them are noirettes, have a redhead counterpart (Nami/Gloriosa), and old Shakky feels similar to Robin in personality.
Plus Shakky x Ray kinda gives me the same vibes as some Robin x Zoro art I've seen.
If GV was about rescuing Shakky then it could lowkey have been oldgen Ennies Lobby, or hell maybe even EL/MF combo with Rocks paralleling WB and Roger paralleling BB.
Also I wonder if Shakky's allure is related to the PoL theory people brought up.
Maybe it's a powerup that takes different forms?
Like for Sanji it allowed him to kick lasers, for Shakky it allowed her to warp people's minds, for Rouge it allowed her to alter her pregnancy duration etc.
Then there's the simp stuff which is...blegh. The reactions to it are funny but the gag itself just doesn't feel appropriate and is a bit overused.
It's not the most annoying or humiliating gag in OP or anywhere really, personally I hate Nami's domestic violence way more, but it just feels wrong to see it on WB or Rocks.
I guess we'll see how bad it is when the raws come out.
All that aside I'm kinda leaning to the idea that Shakky being the treasure is a red herring, at the very least Rocks wanted something else aside from her IMHO
