When Whitebeard told Kaido Rocks wanted to see him, he seemed reasonable.

Here, Newgate and Kaido are completing subverting the Rocks' crew dynamic: Kaido openly compliments Newgate's power, and Newgate takes the compliment and gives Kaido good advice on Devil Fruits (which is hilarious because it's literally the opposite of what Lucci told Kaku and Kalifa when he was just like "Yo, just that scarf shit down, homies")

I'm 1000% done with the fuckshit crazy narrative that Kaido went to Marineford to kill Newgate.

Stop listening to the Marines, people, THEY ARE KNOWN LIARS WHO WORK FOR HUMAN SEX TRAFFICKERS.

Kaido wanted to save his Nakama, Newgate, and Ace, because Kaido loved Newgate and believed Ace was Joy Boy.

Can we agree on one thing here:

The way Rocks & his crew of lovable misfits are presented throughout the whole flashback 100% makes it clear that they're NOT supposed to be real villains. Heck, they're actually somewhat lovable.

Once again the inner core of the WG (Imu, Gorosei, CDs) is presented as the big, bad evil.

That's why I'm still adamant that Imu is the final villain and not Blackbeard/Rocks.
