Chapter 846 Title: The Name | Want to Give

In the cover we see Shin smiling. (Note:this has no connection to the events of the chapter, its just a side cover illustration.)

The chapter begins 90 days after the fall of Shintei.

Following the intense joint training between the former Han soldiers and Qin soldiers, a number of soldiers are permitted to return to their homes.

Narrator: has been 250 days since the Tou Army and the Hi Shin Unit set out to conquer Han, and this is their first return home since then.

Shin goes to visit Ouhon to thank him for holding back the Wei Army during Han's invasion.. But Ouhon reacts as usual.

Shin then goes to thank Mouten for the same reason, and the two head back together to the capital, Kanyou.

KyouRei asks Shin and the others to accompany her to her home, but a messenger suddenly arrives, announcing that the King is waiting for them.

Ei Sei speaks briefly with Shin, but then another messenger rushes in with urgent news...

Ei Sei has had another child, this time, not from Kou-chan! And soon after, he receives news that he has yet another son!!??

Note from the narrator: "This was Ei Sei's last child" who was named "Kougai".

At the end of the chapter, we visit Bihei's home, where he also has a newborn. He struggles to choose a name for his child, the theme of this chapter's title.

Finally, his wife announces the name: "Tou-kun"!

Next week will be a break.

So i catched up by like 20 chapters or something like that i think - it was an awesome read.
The way the War and the Fall of Han was solved was really well done and i like that they focused more on the aspect, that conquering other States is only one part of the challenge. Making the conquered people follow you and work together as One State is a whole different story.

Yoko Yoko's reveal being The He Man was pretty funny lmao

Now i wonder what will happen with Raku A Kan, they said he was killed after he left Shintei, but i don't buy that. I actualy hoped that he would stay in Shintei to, what he always wanted to do, protect the people of Han. He might come back later, will see.

Now Tou has resigned, which was not surprising. He seemed to care about the people of Han too much, where i thought he would, maybe not resign, but stay there for atleast a while.
Btw. HOW THE FUCK did he survive that jump from that big ass tower lol
It seemed like something from a different Manga, never seen something like that in Kingdom.

Ousen already rebuilding his Army was surprising. Now are the new Generals better though? What Ousen was lacking was Martial Might - Gigakou couldn't carry the whole Ousen Army on his shoulders forever - and yes there was also Shiryou, but she lost an arm now and i am not sure if she is still gonna fight.
The new Generals don't really look like Martial Beasts that could compare to Gigakou. Atleast we never got anything from them that would suggest that, but they all are remnants of the old Ousen army? They came kinda out of nowhere lol.
And Sou Ou got downgraded? From 3rd to 5th Ousen General? :risisweat:

I doubt it'll cover the whole arc, they're probably going to need a couple of seasons for that. Then again, they managed to squeeze coalition in a single season, so who knows.
They could definitely squeeze it in one season, condensing every day of battle at Shukai into one or two episodes.

This wouldn't even be badly paced when you consider that the actual battles (in real-time) only last a short amount of time, like Akou holds his own against Banana and Gyou'un for a few minutes.

But it doesn't even matter though. Kingdom is one of those series where the anime is so vastly inferior to the manga that most readers barely even acknowledge it exists.

If Demon Slayer had butchered its anime adaptation, it would have met an even worse fate than Kingdom, because it’s a completed series whose relevance now relies on the upcoming movies and power-level fanatics.

Kingdom, on the other hand, is still ongoing, with Hara producing phenomenal art in every chapter, always full of heartwarming moments and god-tier fight scenes. The average normie doesn’t care about it whatsoever, except for those who actually go out of their way to discover and read more obscure works.

Oh, and posting this because I'm also waiting for the next chapter.
