Future Events Prediction: Admiral Jiaga Valiantly Sacrificed Himself To Save The Reverie Kings (Karasu Vs Fujitora 2.0)

Togashi is a far more naturally gifted artist than Hara, there is no doubt about that. I think you're confusing who the better artist is vs who puts more effort. Hara puts more effort, he is nowhere close to Togashi as an artist, they are lightyears apart.
Bro, I don't really care who the supposedly more "naturally gifted" artist is when at the end of the day, these sassenachs have gotta put pen to paper to earn their wage.

Give Hara a week and you get the average Kingdom chapter. Give Togashi a week and you get a goddamn scribble.

Togashi only starts getting close to Hara when you give Hara one week and Togashi months. :goquad:

I dont see whats so great about those panels. Hara can draw much better panels than those =>

But Hara probably prefers to draw panels like this, which will look more like an art =>

Those panels you posted have more detail, but they don't flow like Kubo's action scenes. There isn't a good sense of motion, perspective is also muddied. The angles just aren't there man.

I have to give credit to Hara, he puts a lot of detail into his scans on a consistent basis. Even if he isn't the best artist, his effort is unmatched.

Kubo is more talented. Zenzu said it best, Kingdom is just drawn with more effort. Look at the composition of that Vagabond panel though, that shit clears both obviously.
I would say Vagabond, One Punch Man, and Berserk are the only manga I’ve read with better art than Kingdom.

All of those manga took far more than one week for a new chapter tho.

See like this panel you posted, is a good example of what I'm talking about. It just gives Hara away. He puts so much effort into this, but this is so ugly to look at. It's beyond amateur.

Flat shading and no light source gives the panel no 3D feel. Weak perspective makes it hard to tell the foreground and background apart. Collage ish layering makes everything look stuck on top of each other, rather than part of a real space. Everything is bleeding together making it a visual mess. The panel is trying to be dramatic/impactful but it's just noise, comes off super flat.

Surely all art is a three way combo of talent + effort + time?

Saying that Togashi is the better artist overall cause he is better at that first metric just doesn't make sense to me.

If he's naturally gifted but invests less effort then it falls apart.

Then for it to be a fair comparison, the time investment has to be similar.

Sure, a chapter of Vegabond slam dunks a chapter of Kingdom. It feckin better when Kingdom is weekly and Vegabond is what? Monthly? More? Lol.

I can't take Togashi >>> Hara seriously when Togashi's weekly chapters are dogshit and he needs months to challenge a single weekly Kingdom chapter.

Just read my post above. You would never catch Togashi putting that much effort into a panel, and it being an absolute mess of a panel. Hara gives himself away because he is putting effort in and his art checks all the boxes for objectively amateurish. (Bad shading, bad perspective, bad anatomy etc.)

Hold up, let me pull a random weekly (I hope) page of HxH real quick.:Raku_Stare:

This is seriously a level of detail rivaling Hara after just one week of work
Another example, look at the water here, it doesn't even look like water thanks to the shading. This looks more like a resin statue figure. The water quite literally looks like it is stuck in space and time. And look at the droplets lmfaoooo, some are angled at the viewer others right beside them are angled elsewhere, it's so amateur.

Objectively, this is not good, at all. Subjectively, I'm fine with it because it makes his art style super unique.
