Speculations Shakuyaku may be Shanks and Shamrocks mother

Shakky might be Shanks and Shamrock’s mother, hinted by the shared “Sha.” The God Valley flashback is still four years away, so she could have been kidnapped about a year earlier and taken as Hachinosu’s “treasure” which fits with Shanks, now 39, being around 1 at the time. Why was Garling there with his children at such a place? Most likely because their mother, Shakky, was present. His words, “look after my children” may carry a deeper meaning, he knew Roger and Rocks had come to take Shakky back, but he wasn’t ready to give up on his kids.

The way this guy worded this makes it sound like a crazy theory but…it’s honestly possible imo • Shakky being called the “Treasure of Hachinosu” last chapter • Roger saying it’s been a whole year • Garling being called “Champion of God Valley” • Roger Pirates taking in Shanks It’s possible but people just wouldn’t like it to be true and…neither would I God Valley = 38 years ago Shanks’ age = 39 years old Timeline matches perfectly

Shanks current bounty can be read as “Shi-Ya-Ku”, some seem think think that’s a play on Shanks name, but could it be a play on Shakky’s name? Shi-Ya-Ku = Shakuyaku





the timeline matches up, so it’s possible Shakky was kidnapped one year before God Valley and it’s during that time where she becomes pregnant with the twins.







Most ask if Shakky is the mom of Shanks then why wouldn’t she or Rayleigh reveal it to the crew on Sabaody. I asked that myself and there’s one huge thing that Rayleigh tells Luffy that could explain it all.

Rayleigh said he wouldn’t tell Luffy anything Shanks didn’t tell him himself while Shakky was right there…

In Irish Mythology ( and shamrock is named after an irish symbol) there was a hero named Cu Chulainn who was a demigod and considered a “child of fate”…
He was born with red hair although his father ( a god) had blonde hair akin to the son and his mother dark of hair…
Children who were born with red hair of dark color hair parents were considered children of destiny… 🤯
We’re first introduced to Shanks within a bar, just like Shakky and throughout the story both of these characters seem to be connected to bars across different islands… Shakky - Sabaody/Hachinosu Shanks - Foosha Village/Elbaph
Shanks’s blood type is XF while Shakky’s is X… Is it possible that if Shakky is his mother, then Garling has the F blood type? This could be similar to Hiyori and Oden/Toki… Hiyori has XF blood type while Oden has X and Toki has F (Momo only inherited the X)…






In Sabaody one of the first pirates Shakky mentions to Luffy is Kidd and that she would be routing for Luffy instead because of the damage Kidd causes…
Interestingly, Shanks ends up being the one to take out Kidd after he nearly wiped out his fleet 😳

Roger said it had been a whole year, and Shanks was already 1 year old when he was found at God Valley. So, how could Shakky be his mother if she had only been missing for a year? Pregnancy takes 9 months.

She doesn't have red hair either. While it's possible through recessive genes, the chances of identical twins both having red hair when neither parent does are extremely low.

BTW, Cú Chulainn had multi-colored hair that included red, not just red hair.

I tend to doubt it?

Shanks was found by Roger in a baby in a treasure chest during God Valley. Which means, Shanks and Shamrock were likely already born by the time God Valley happened. Maybe the twins could be a "battlefield birth", and were actually born ON God Valley DURING the battle. Shanks has been stated to have been born in the West Blue. And God Valley IS in the West Blue, so that could line up alright.

But, Shanks was on Roger's crew. With Rayleigh. I feel like if Shakky was his mom, this would have come up in his time on Roger's crew? But, maybe this is what Roger told lil' Shanks that made him cry, after Roger came back from Laugh Tale?

And yeah, it does feel like at least one of the parents should have red hair. Garling's blonde. And Shakky's black haired. Not saying that red hair can't pop up randomly sometimes, in the real world. But, for anime logic, it would make more sense if the mother had red hair like her sons.

But, the biggest thing is...I'm not sure if Oda would actually be allowed to have a named character do something like that? Even Saturn was absolved of that particular crime with Ginny. Oda can allude to that sort of thing, but I'm not sure if he can directly state anything specific about it. Having Garling do something like that to Shakky...it'd just be going a bit farther than Oda usually goes. At least for named characters. That's the kind of thing you let "shadowy unnamed" characters do, so that you can hint at it, while still remaining in a comic magazine aimed at kids.

And, I don't know. Shakky in the present day just doesn't seem "broken" enough to have had something like that happen to her in her past? I mean, you can eventually recover from that. But, it's the sort of thing that tends to stick with you. And there's just been no hint of that before. And there's really been no hint of any connection to Shanks before, either, other than the "Sha" names, which doesn't even line up with Garling's name. If Shakky had a connection to Shanks, I would think she'd react more strongly to seeing Luffy wearing Shanks' straw hat. I don't know. If Oda was planning on going in that direction, I feel like there'd be more hints.

Plus, there's the whole "the Kuja can only give birth to girls" thing. I know that's a bit of a contested translation at the moment. But, for right now, it seems like Shakky would be incapable of giving birth to two boys. Unless both Shanksette and Shamrockita had a run in with lil' Ivankov on God Valley, and they were the first two who Ivankov used the Hormone Fruit on. Which...I can't say is impossible, but it would be a weird moment.

I don't know. It lines up JUST enough to be possible. I just don't think it's likely, myself. I could be wrong, though.

As far as we know, the only exception has been Ace, but his birth was intentionally delayed.

The point is, Shakky can't be Shanks' mother because she would have had to give birth at an absurd speed. It doesn't line up with the time frame Roger gives.

During the God Valley incident:
- Shakky may have been missing for one whole year (if Roger is referring to her).
- Shanks (and Shamrock) are already 1 year old.

And of course, there's also the fact that Kuja women are said to give birth only to females. Red hair from non-red haired parents, male children from a Kuja woman, the timeline...

It just doesn't work.
