Hey, I like some things about Valve, I hate some things about them ( the company, not the people ), but I like games like Half Life and Portal and Team Fortress, I may like Deadlocked too, I will see when I play it and when it releases, and I think their hardware is very cool

So I decided to make a post where people who are interested in what Valve does and look at videos and posts by Tyler McVicker, Gabe Follower, and others like SadleyitsBradley about the Valve Deckard and the Freemont, can talk about it, unless I'm the only one here

“I think at various points there have been significant technology transitions,” he said. “There was pre-computer and then there was post-computer. There was pre-Internet, and there was post-Internet.​

“I think that it’s incredibly obvious that machine learning systems, AI systems, are going to profoundly impact pretty much every single business. So if I had to point to a technology transition to get in front of, it’s to figure out how to use AI to do anything better.​

“If you want to be an accountant, learn AI. If you’re going to be an attorney, learn AI… Essentially, AI is going to be a cheat code for people who want to take advantage of it.”​

He is putting way too much trust and faith in ai. ai is just not on that level yet.

Yeah I agree, I think it's a scam like the metaverse and other stuff

I'm really passionate about VR and I think it has a really cool future, I actually have 100% achievements on Half Life Alyx, Valve's big VR game, but the metaverse thing was a scam to inflate stock prices, and the AI hype now may be the same

And either way, Gabe is still a billionaire, he could do a lot of good and he chooses to sit on a yacht instead
