Their big divide was Harald wanted to negotiate with the World Government, and Rocks wanted to destroy them.

Judging by how Harald ended up, he should have listened to Rocks more.

I saw someone say lately Rocks is the kind of friend you might not like or a lot of people won't like you having, but when push comes to shove, he'll do anything to help or save you. I've had friends like that, rough as hell on the outside, unpopular but they cared with all their hearts.

Rocks isn't two faced, manipulative. he knows what he wants, he's honest about it and he's determined to get it regardless. he lives in the moment and with fearless sincerity, no pretentiousness like certain overglazed characters.

Depends if Xebec got some huge powerup after his battle against Harald and we see the glimps in God valley.
Either that or Harald is legit Xebec lvl and above the other guys.
Because right now, Xebec and Harald are equals...

Yeah if xebec ate a fruit prior to god valley then id say Harald is comparable to Kaido but as of now i think Harald ~ Xebec > Yonko is a fair deal

Do you think Mihawk/Shanks/Akainu would lose to Sengoku,Shiki,Ray etc ?

I'm pretty sure they are stronger than them and since there is not a huge gap between Sengoku,Shiki,Ray and Roger/Garp middle gen's top dogs are at least on par with old gen's top dogs.

I think a big part of old gen glaze is that they appear less and are hyped more due to being so impactful to the world they live in.

Makes me wonder it would be like if roles were reversed e.g Mihawk, C3, Shanks and so on in the Roger/Rocks era and vice versa.

This seems in keeping with the Elbaph culture war thingy with the giants being too peaceful and anti war.

It's complicated
Harald wanted to leave behind the times of pillaging and violence towards other nations. In his eyes, allying with the WG and becoming a member state was necessary to achieve this goal BUT the WG never saw it that way, to them Elbaf's war like strength was an asset. The WG's true nature was hidden to Harald so ultimately, he had to fail. As long as the WG exists in its current state there was no way the different nations couldtruly be allied on their own terms. Remember Harald's reaction to finding out about the WG? He saw they were in the way of free travel and free cultural exchange.
For Harald's dream to become reality the WG needs to go which only is possible in the current timeline. Rocks was not the right man for this, he was a violent pirate that pillaged.
