They’re literally all pirates lol, and BB is their boss.

What’s your explanation for all the fodders we saw with Kuzan and Augur at WCI, or the fodders that went with BB to Winner Island?
Again we’re told canonically that those who lived on pirate island weren’t all Rox pirates. Now tell me what that says about those who live on it now…

Those were subordinate crews like the peachbeard pirates or the brown beard pirates or the krieg pirates.

Why is everyone unironically just buying this “Kozuki Moria” thing?

:risistare:

It doesn’t sound real but rather a fake story that the isolated Wano folks were led to believe

Remember that on the same year, Ryuma’s grave was stolen, obviously to create a zombie with Shadow DF…

Here’s what I believe actually happened:

-Moria learns about Ryuma’s legend and wants him as a zombie

-His crew visits Wano to search for his grave in Ringo

-The Ringo villagers notice this and ask who he is and what he’s doing here

-To avoid getting caught, he lies to them and says his name is “Kozuki” (reverse of Gecko) who came from West Blue (true) and is here to save Wano from Kaido

-Actually fights Kaido and loses, his entire crew killed, but he managed to escape with his shadow double ability

-Leaves Wano with Ryuma’s corpse and sword without anyone knowing

-The dumb Wano people think he heroically died in battle leaving no body behind

This is actually pretty funny, but I kind of dislike the fact that this punchline would take forever to land. Even if Oda puts something this complicated in a cover story, we would deal with him making gooner bait cover pages and taking breaks every other week. At worst, we find out in like 5 years when Moria returns in the story, and it won´t be funny anymore.

tbh i got the same guess of wano people being dumb and going for some folk legend

but canon Kozuki moria is my headcannon now even if not true XDX

No the story is that he was RAISED in ringo

if no one from ringo saw him grow up, how did the story of him being raised in ringo start?
He could have just recruited some Ringo dudes on his side to prove his lie, or flat out stole random corpses from there, revived them with shadows, AND had them say “Yeah I saw him being raised here”

It doesn’t make sense that a man born in West Blue, and raised in Ringo has his own pirate crew operating outside of Wano…

Also remember that the Wano folks were naive and gullible enough to believe that Oden was literally dancing naked for no reason

These are people isolated from the rest of the world… its easy to fool them if you’re an outsider.
