Though with the precedent of Dorry and Broggy ending their century long duel to be tour guides, who knows

This brings him closer to his goal which was always Mary Geose centric. Nothing fits Doffy more than continuing to use the system he hates to advance himself.

Shanks has obviously been against Teach rising to power since the timeskip, and Teach most likely gained pirate island awhile ago, since Law was able to become a warlord, go to PH, get noticed by Monet etc since Teach got pirate island, at the least it´s been a couple months. And it´s not like Teach was a mysterious figure before that, he was in the new world.

How does that make sense? Luffy´s fruit has nothing to do with Shanks being able to get the OP or not, unless Shanks is planning to kidnap Luffy. Plus, it has never been implied that the Roger pirates needed a fruit for the OP to work, it´s implied they were simply too early. Unless someone had already eaten the Nika fruit, there´s no connection here at all. And why would Shanks even know about this? All Roger did was whisper one thing to him, Shanks should only know a little more about the OP then Buggy does, unless we learn that Gaban or Rayleigh told him something later. Plus, there was no reason for him to not collect the Poneglyphs before the fruit awakened anyway.

2.Doffy being CG: This isn´t as bad, but it would require Doffy to play second fiddle to the OG members, and tbh, Doffy is unironically to narcissistic to play Tsundere for Buggy. Ironically despite being a big underworld guy, he doesn´t really have a underworld sensibility like Crocodile(remember when he dropped Disco like a dumbass because he wanted to go all in on Smiles?)

3: Doffy turning into a good guy: This would just be too far. I don´t feel like I need to explain. Part of the reason why people like Doffy is because he had a horrible childhood, and yet he´s still an evil character and no one was trying to redeem him.

Why not just create a new character from his family as a Holy knight? It would at least be trying something new.

Doffys bent the knee to better pirates before. He’ll have no problem doing so for croc and Mihawk

Of course he cared about getting them. We know for a fact that Shanks currently wants the One piece. The flashback with Gaban was 14 years ago, obviously he has changed his goals now.

What Roger whispered to Shanks was probably something sentimental and personal, given the fact that Shanks was crying. Why would it be a secret plan to get the One Piece if Roger himself wanted his son to find the OP? There isn´t really any reason to think Shanks knows some secret about Laughtale or Imu(though maybe Shamrock or whatever told him later on), nor is there really any reason to think Shanks was waiting for Nika to awaken to get the OP.
