Personality Test

INFP-T again, same as almost every time in the past lol. But I think I did get INTP once or twice.

I check out these tests from time to time anyways and usually I get INTP or INFP.
Lol, you're the same as my wife. She hops between those two whenever she takes such a test. High I, N and P, but the T and F are interchangeable.

Kind of interesting...

@Logiko you received INFP too. Was your F in the 50%s or was it super high? Curious if this is a pattern for INFPs.

Don't remember
I just looked at the description and wasn't impressed.
Shame. I find these tests fascinating. They're not always amazingly accurate in terms of the raw description, but the individual traits can offer some insight into our behaviours. For example, I am very confident that I am Extroverted, Intuitive, Feeling and Judging (and Assertive), but that does not mean I am wholesale everything in the description. There are quite a few similarities in my case though.

Mine seems to be 66% feeling fwiw. Is that very high?

Tbh I think with some of those it's kind of a "depends" because I imagine I'd have given a pro feels rating in some scenarios and a pro logic opinion in others.

Yeah the tests are decently accurate although obviously it depends on the person and situations they've been in. I'm certain my result is broadly correct but possibly would be very different if I had recently been in some of the situations the test gave.

For example I said Slightly Agree when asked about whether I care more about proving my point than avoiding disagreement, because I usually take that approach around this forum and in general on account of not wanting to waste time on arguments.

But if I had recently been in a situation where problems were caused due to such an approach, I would definitely have gone with disagree.

I guess it fluctuates based on recent personal experiences, must be like that for your wife as well.

That makes perfect sense. Recency bias can most certainly impact the result. Ten years ago I had 90% -T instead of A. Every time I took the test (like, intervals of three years), the T reduced until now I am sitting at 56% A. Heck, if I took the test 5 months ago, I am certain it would have been 56% T rather than A. Much has happened recently which has had an impact on my worldview and general sense of confidence (for the better, I believe).

Regarding my wife, I think she might be an outlier where recency bias impacts her overall result. Her T-F score has always been like 54-56% depending on the time she took it. She took it yesterday after I brought up my recent result, and she is now apparently an INTP. For so many years she kept creeping out as an INFP. Given the "descriptor" both are very fitting.

As I stated though, these tests are good insofar as they highlight some key personality factors. This is high-level analysis, as opposed to granular, in-depth analysis. It offers you a broad view of how you align. Ultimately, people are more than the sum of their personality factors, but it's still very interesting to look at.

As an INTJ (Architect), you possess a rare combination of vision and pragmatism. Your analytical mind constantly seeks to understand the world around you, driven by an insatiable curiosity and a desire to improve systems and ideas. You approach life with a strategic mindset, always looking several steps ahead and planning for various contingencies.

Your independent nature is one of your defining characteristics. You value your autonomy and often prefer to work alone, trusting your own judgment and abilities above all else. This self-reliance, combined with your intellectual prowess, allows you to tackle complex problems with confidence and innovation.

Energy: 57% Introverted

Mind: 70% Intuitive

Nature: 56% Thinking

Tactics: 64% Judging

Identity: 57% Turbulent

While your rational approach to life serves you well in many situations, it can sometimes create challenges in your personal relationships. You may find emotional expressions and social niceties puzzling or unnecessary, preferring direct communication and logical discussions. This tendency can make you appear aloof or detached to others, even when you care deeply.

Your pursuit of knowledge and improvement is relentless. You have high standards for yourself and others, always striving for efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of life. This drive for perfection can be both a strength and a weakness, pushing you to achieve great things but also potentially leading to stress and burnout if not managed carefully.

In your professional life, you thrive on intellectual challenges and the opportunity to implement your innovative ideas. You excel in roles that allow you to utilize your strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, often gravitating towards fields like science, technology, or business strategy. Your ability to see the big picture while also attending to crucial details makes you a valuable asset in any organization.

However, your preference for working independently and your dislike for office politics can sometimes hinder your career progression. Learning to navigate social dynamics and communicate your ideas effectively to others is crucial for your professional growth. Your unique insights are most valuable when they can be implemented, which often requires collaboration and buy-in from others.

Wow quite surprise the bolded part matched my view about office politics lol
