We need logia awakening and we need it really soon to save this manga.

I think this time he did not a bad job(unlike how he did it with the previous fights like Garp vs Roger), but yeah there is lot of room to improve.

Something i love about Devilfruits:
- they keep getting stronger and better with each new move, awakening is like bankai and open and lot of ways to have creative attacks.

As example look at Law, I love the And is the fight choreography of every Law battle and his awakening was the peak of all, adding so much unique flaw... and to be honest given by his finisher move, his attacks so far top lot of top tiers moves.

It is just I feel adv CoC looks kinda boring?
It became the "super sayajin" of One Piece and so many characters having it make it not better.

I fail to see a creative way to give Shanks,Mihawk,Roger,Rayleigh,Rocks and Gaban different unique fightstyle when they simple all use adv CoC the time, Oda really need to do something to add so every non devilfruit user has at least ability with haki, the others doesn't have...

As example Hunter x Hunter, Nen gives different abilities. I would like it if Mihawk,Shanks,Roger,Rayleigh,Gaban and Rocks CoC give them their own unique ability by haki, would seperate them from df users and wouldn't make them all similar.

A reason why I live devilfruit battles, the opponent use different skills and with awakening(bankai) like, they open up with even more unique way for the battle. A reason why I can't wait for Logia awakening...

In the end I hope Oda solve this problem somehow or we end up having all only haki monsters using just shockwaves and swings/fist...

The amount of infos we have on Shanks this arc is a big death flag.

Shanks will be killed by Teach, so that Luffy will seek revenge on him even more (first Ace and then Shanks).

Shanks being or not Oda fav character have no bearing on Shanks future in the story.
And Oda already introduce Shanks remplacement.

For a long time, I too thought Shanks was to be fed off-panel to BB. It was the logical conclusion to their arc.
But as of more recent developments, including the evil twin, his dad as new Gorosei, and the "child of prophecy" bullshit, I think Shanks will prove his family wrong and live to see Mariejois turned into a place of peace, with its (Irish-inspired) history restored.

I agree, imo Conquerors in general not just advanced should've been left on the idea board, I think just observation and Armament would of been just fine, advanced conqueors is basically just a stronger variant of armament haki anyway. tbh seeing some characters use seastone weapons rather than everyone and their mom knowing haki.

meanwhile with devil fruits, its not a cookie cutter power, each devil fruit even the ones with slight similarites have their own unique traits and powers.

Haki should be reserved for the high to top tiers with advanced haki being for the top of the top. everyone else should find more creative ways to fight logia users or strengthen themselves.

Dials from Skypeia, Sea prism weapons, devil empowered weapons, etc etc.
