Wild guess but I think Kaido got one shotted by Roger and BM tasted Garp fist real quick . They both were not that strong durint this time . I see them getting beat quickly and not having a real match up with BM escaping god valey with a badly injured kaido giving him the fruit .

Genuinely, Big Mom is like…top five in the crew, arguably top 3 after Rocks and Whitebeard lol, she’s already established and unlike the rest of the newly introduced Rocks pirates, was ALWAYS highlighted to be active against Garp/Roger whenever GV is spoken about.

Old gen have portrayal advantage but by on panel feats I don't see them surpassing waido. Monster like endurance, all adv haki , island level adv coc mode etc.

They did some cool stuff, but neither of them was trying to kill, so I agree that it's meaningless to powerscale them via just this fight.

The oppression duo isn't the best set of people out there, but I think Loki is right, the WG probably killed weakened Rocks.

And this will make Roger and Garp fighting against him feel unnatural.
Unless Xebec just turns to pure 100% evil, they don't have any reason to fight him in gv.

I think oda might go the route of Xebec using the lives of the gv citizen as shields against the holy knights or something. But that still doesnt make sense for Garp and Roger teaming up to protect the CDs. Cause the CDs were there to genocide the entire island in the first place.

The only other way for this to make sense is if Xebec got turned to pure evil by imu's reversi powers. But that would be so trash.
Oda might have fucked up making Xebec too likeable.

Cause most old gen haven't gotten an entire arc dedicated to them lol. The best has been WB who did better than kaido despite being in his deathbed.

Rocks, Harald, Roger, Garp, WB all clear kaido. Even Shank.

They cant surpass kaido based on feats
because you arent going to get 50 chapters of them fighting

for flashback characters
portrayal is all you need to go off of mostly.

i wouldn't count on it. it's implied kaido beelined it to roger and got packed up pretty fast and meme had to save him by giving him the df and then he ran away.
