Also interested in the idea that Croc's dad was a pirate, who Newgate killed on God Valley. Rocks/Roger Pirates were the focus, but Ginny leaked that info worldwide, a LOT of Pirates probably came to God Valley for Shakky/Fruits.

It can't be that in that flashback there's the Pirate King, WB, Garp and even Shiki and we're not going to have several chapters where we see the feats of those characters...

The hype surrounding the God Valley incident started with this.

And it can't be that Oda just keeps giving us shitty dialogue and not giving us a feast of fights.



Kaido is undoubtedly a special case in this sleep aid manga.

I share the same thought — this is the only opportunity these characters have to show their feats on panel at their peak, and Oda simply won’t draw it. He’ll keep everything off panel and only give us the final outcome (final scene). I highly doubt he’ll draw fight by fight; at most, he’ll just show who fought whom.

• Roger vs Shiki (Never going to be shown)
• Garp and Roger vs Rocks Pirates (We’ll see)
• Rayleigh at his peak and Gaban vs some opponen
• Garling at his peak vs some opponent
• Whitebeard vs Roger (Whitebeard at his peak) lasted 3 days off panel — we only saw a single clash between them.
• Akainu vs Aokiji
• Big Mom vs Base kaidou 3 days off panel

Kaidou really is the most special case we’ve had, and yet many people still say Oda didn’t deliver with him, even though everything about him revolved around power and fighting — and that’s exactly what Oda gave us.

In the past, fights were only worth being drawn by Oda because it was necessary for the character to obtain a power-up, and due to that power-up, there had to be a narrative reason for gaining that new ability. So, the fight was built up around that. Now that the characters already have everything, and there’s no new type of Haki, Oda will just skip to the final parts with the others — and maybe put a bit more effort in with the protagonists (main characters).

I won’t lie to you — after I saw Garp all bloodied in that God Valley panel, I’ve always wanted to know the context and actually see him fighting. If Oda doesn’t draw that, it’s going to be one of the biggest L’s of his life.

So God Valley being erased can either be a caothic ocean thing, like Shadia suddenly flying to Skypea. Or WB's powers and how he became the strongest and the one with the power to destroy the world.

Thinking about it now, Dragon splitting up the twins absolutely supports the Revolutionaries being the ones laying seige to Mariejoa currently. Im sure Garling and Shamrock know this fact, which means it might lead to something interesting happening either during or after Elbaf because that allows Oda to establish dialogue around it.
