How is Big Mom fandom in nowdays?
Same as always AFAIK, we're just chilling, keeping a low profile and constantly being frustrated and disappointed in Oda. Pretty cynical but some of us believe she will return in the present and some others....well they're still grieving I guess lol.
I'm just happy to see her in youth/Rocks days too, it lmost doesn't feel real. She's so much more chill, cooler like this. Like someone on reddit said, she seems to be in her "prime" mentally here, like she's found some happiness, some stability in such treacherous, chaotic, unstable place ironically.
I used to think the Yonkos were secretly depressed over the death and thus loss of Rocks until we saw they actually hated his guts but I think they also respect him deep down and when they see what such a caring man he is for his own loved ones, to risk his own life and put everything on trying to save them and giving his own life in the process, it will change their world view entirely into what we see of them these days. As Dragon himself said, "a parents's child is their weakness" or something like that. Hence why Kaido and Big Mom/Linlin are so abusive and cynical towards their own children too.
I really wish things could have been different for the Rocks Pirates, I love them as a crew and a bunch of my favourite characters in the entire series are all in the same crew. Genuinely the best crew in the series for me.
I do believe she will return in the present, I refuse to believe Oda just threw her away like that, he cares about his characters far too much. I just hope I won't regret saying that, like with Kidd, Kaido and so on.
