The redditors love to nitpick and complain about everything when it comes to Horizons, that same subreddit have users that also can't let go of Ash as well.

I will admit, I don't enjoy Horizons like I once did, and there are some valid criticism, but I don't think the show is trash.....for now.

Also next episode is the finale for the whole Laquium saga, after that will be a new season/arc.

It seems like the next season will probably be mostly filler, but maybe they might do another major arc during that next season.
