They both mostly stem from mistranslated / poorly described databooks so it's not the worst comparison. Though most people who are —into— Naruto knows that's not to be taken seriously.

I feel like the OP fandom is almost at this point but you have some people clinging to the agenda.

Nah, Kakuzu fighting Hashirama was legit supposed to hype him at the time. Kishi didn't know how far the powercreep would go. Kishi was always terrible with scaling the Kage. He kept contradicting himself and 3rd Hokage looks like a fodder compared to even the 2nd.

Mihawk vs Vista is Oda trying to show us the commanders can fight top tiers, even when in the same arc it was clear they should get fodderized (via Akainu vs commanders + ex shichibukai). It's just Oda's obsession with lying about Yonkou crews and impact of numbers overall.
