WB character make sense, staying by Xebec side, and he probably also aware of Xebec family being made hostage.

Also expected of Kaidou n BM bums.​

But Shiki?, Oda could've atleast written them bit interestingly now.

I guess none of them had a character like Blackbeard or Avalo Pizzaro waiting for a chance to usurp or act up. Not at pirate like behaviour.​

Shiki feels a bit inconsistent here. He had been scheming from the very beginning, yet in the end he turned out to be one of the most loyal. I guess he’s just a tsundere.

It could also be the classic showcase of the strong valuing the strong. Stronger characters like Shiki, and BM would respect Xebec’s power and gravitate more towards him. It’s a consistent thing throughout the show, Oden was immediately charmed by Roger’s strength. Even Luffy shows more instantaneous interest toward stronger characters like Zoro and Loki. Stronger characters are usually more honorable as well.
