It's like she was being chased by the Boogeyman, Oda adding her attacking Garp just to do nothing was purely to dunk on her in favour of him. There's no other context. That is the context. She is not just running away while laughing, she is soiling herself after witnessing what just happened. This is not a gag, it's establishing hierarchy.

I'll repeat if Rayleigh got a scene like this, he would never ever be able to recover from it. It's insane to even imagine it.

It’s the exact same case with WB, I don’t know why you’re trying to erase this fact from memory lol. WB was running like Usain Bolt on roids. Oda intentionally started up the scene as funny with Garp calling a group that has a near-prime Newgate in it a bunch of sea kings. Then added a line for BM and WB, specifically, stating that they didn’t want to waste their time.

This scene wasn’t serious, and we already know that Garp was stronger and closer to his prime age-wise than BM here so what’s the point? This didn’t add anything new.
