Yeah that's right.

Two weeks before, the final version of the chapter is typically complete and sent to the publisher for editing and printing. This built-in lead time is how Oda maintains a weekly release schedule despite his intense workload.

3–4 chapters ahead is the approximate number of chapters Oda works on concurrently. This helps him stay on track and allows for occasional breaks.
Nah I don't think Fraudon is that tied in. The 3-4 week cycle is strictly limited between Shueisha and the publishing sites. Even the official translators only get access a week before. Fraudon won't have access via his source before that time.

⚠️ OFFICIAL SHONEN JUMP ANNOUNCEMENT ⚠️

Dear Nakama,

We regret to inform you that One Piece will be on an unexpected break this week. Please understand: this was not due to illness, surgery, or even the usual “Oda sleeping only three hours a day” situation.

No—this time, Oda-sensei encountered… let’s call it “narrative turbulence.”

While sketching young Shakky for the God Valley flashbacks, Oda reportedly entered a state of “maximum goonification.” According to staff, he became dangerously immersed in drawing her “Nami-clone face” and cheeky mannerisms, giggling uncontrollably while muttering, “Yes… yes… Rayleigh x Shakky… this is the real Pirate King romance.”

Editors describe the scene as:

  • Oda dramatically roleplaying Rayleigh at his desk, winking at an imaginary Shakky.
  • Papers scattered everywhere with increasingly sparkly Shakky sketches.
  • His wife walking in, sighing deeply, and saying, “You’re supposed to be drawing pirates, not flirting with them.”

We are working tirelessly to restore order to the Oda household, but for now, we must announce: One Piece will not appear in this week’s issue.

Please send your support to Oda-sensei during this difficult time of… artistic self-inflicted turbulence.

We thank you for your patience, and as always:
THE TREASURE IS REAL, THE BREAKS ARE REALER.
