That is my point.
Except the Big Mom scene with her df, given what we got in Marineford as opening vs what we got in God valley as opening.
As I said, I get it, it is a flashback of a flashback of a flashback.

But God Valley is to big to be a "simple" flashback, that even was massive hyped and should be equivalent of the old past generation's marineford. No one is asking to much, but at least give us the panel to remind us why these guys are the strongest one... See what Whitebeard and Kuzan alone did in Marineford at the begin.

Plotwise I'm fine, it started good, but visual part so far lacks(like the most time of the flashback).
No joke but what a nerfed in seastone Loki did at Elbaf clears everything we saw so far in the flashback lol:

It is not that hard, people like Whitebeard or Shiki with df should alone be able to pull up something similar too.
So far with all the haki explosion/shockwave shit it feels like we watching high tiers fighting each other lol.
And speaking off haki, I pray that guys like Roger/Xebec/Garp show some unique power with haki, not just a shockwave/explosion shit.

A CoC skill only the strongest can get but also make it unique like every CoC mastering his haki gets a special power, like how Togashi did with Nen, make it for single CoC user unique and not having all spamming lightning trails/shockwaves.

It is so far just one chapter in god valley, let hope Oda delivers with guys like Roger,Xebec or even Whitebeard.

The thing is Marineford it was visually impressive, but also it was hammered to the readers that if any of the top tiers went all out the island wouldn't last. And this was proven when WB became enraged. Imagine if Akainu, Kizaru, Aokiji, Mihawk were just unleashing their full power? We got glimpses of what that would look like and the destruction was too much. What size is God Valley? If these top tiers are fighting completely unrestricted and the island is still intact it makes them look underwhelming, I know WB constantly holds back his df for that reason.

We need to see at least one Hakai level shockwave from Xebec or Roger, that’s the only time that I might actually be impressed with these generic acoc attacks. So far, Wano arc still has the most powerful techniques we’ve seen.

This is one of the main reasons why Oda won't show an Admiral going all out on panel. He knows they are DC based, it takes too much effort and does too much collateral damage. He shows us mere flexes and runs from the rest of the responsibility of having to show it.

It's not the only reason, but it's one of them for sure. This is why he does this with Admirals specifically, constantly stating via dialogue that they are nerfed.

He’s just going to retcon their DC to be way worse. You’ll never see Aokiji freezing the sea again (he even lowkey retconned this feat in MF when a far more serious Kuzan had his ice outsped by a submarine and couldn’t expand his ice beyond the bay)

Keep in mind Greenbull was the only Admiral not worried about the island he was on.

Bajrung gun , Flame bagua , Punture wille and hakai are unsurpassed for now in terms of AP.
