There's nothing in the story confirming that Shanks/Shamrock mother is dead yet . Oda deliberately hid her identity and origins, likely because it will be important to the plot later on.But what if Captain john is the one who finds and rescues Shanks/shamrock mother? And what if, later on, she gives birth to Kidd?
That would mean Kidd and Shanks/shamrock are actually half brothers, which could explain Kidd’s deep hatred for Shanks. It’s possible that Kidd misunderstood the events of God Valley, believing the Roger Pirates were responsible for the massacre of red hair ethnic group and that Shanks chose to side with roger pirates.

Since very few know the truth about what really happened at God Valley only Imu, the Elders, Garp, the Yonko, and the Roger Pirates it’s possible Kidd based his hatred on a false version of the story.

I would like it if this was true, but I doubt Shanks mother survived

We rarely see these kind of relationships in one piece. I woman giving birth with multiple (step father/siblings) men is probably not something common in Japan which likely influences how Oda has been writing the story.
