This is not a downplay thread. I'm curious why did Oda let this happen.

It was weaker Kaido too who wanted to go 1 on 1 against Rocks.
Stronger Kaido chose to 3v1 Garp.
I'm trying to make sense of what is Oda doing here.

Indeed, rage makes a person blind and reckless, often making stupid decisions like young Kaido trying to 1v1 Rocks and Post-WCI Luffy trying to 1v1 current Kaido.

Was it a fight against time?
Kaido was sure took his sweet time for it to be a race against time.
Kaido was always the type of person who enjoyed fighting strong opponents instead of making himself stronger.
He chose to 1v1 Luffy instead of getting help from CP0
This contradicts Kaido character which was the reason why I made this thread but alas you still failed to give me a credible answer.

It's easy to read it as Kaido wants to gang up on Garp, it maybe because of context as all 3 of them are present at the moment.
Kaido is a simple guy and just wants to fight if there's opportunity, won't cares about Linlin and WB jumping with him or not
If he's not with WB or Linlin, he'll go try n fight Garp solo, no question.

Kaido should have said"let me fight him" or "why did you not let me fight him"
