Bumgoku really is just a Hiruzen copy

Both elderly leaders of their large organization at the start of the series who are then replaced
Both have 3 subordinates who are way stronger than anyone else in the organization, one of which betrays the group
Both receive fraudulent hype that makes them seem way stronger than they really were in their primes
Both have lackluster feats
Both return in the final saga and do jack shit

Yeah but second strongest base is a crazy take when you have him needing his ultimate technique to go even with Upper 6 when base Sanemi has feats way above marked Muichiro who could beat Upper 4.

Also fuck it I think there’s actually a direct scale for his combat speed being below most of the other Hashira.

Gyomei and Obanai since Mitsuri was a literal damsel in distress for them in the final battle with them literally taking damage to save her multiple times. Gyomei is one thing since he could block attacks from non-drugged Muzan which in retrospect is fucking wild but Obanai is noteworthy.

Giyu because dead calm with a broken sword let him survive Akaza’s ultimate. And the way dead calm works is essentially by spamming ultra fast highly concentrated slashes to the point where it looks like he isn’t moving. So his combat speed being disproportionately high checks out. And Akaza is obviously significantly above Gyutaro

This is all consistent too since it’s implied the breathing styles get weaker the further they get from the original sun breathing style and sound breathing is derived from wind breathing

You're reaching, they aren't really similar at all in personality. And the relationship between Sengoku and the three admirals and Hiruzen and the Sanin isn't really anything alike(Kuzans Sensei is Garp and he views him that way, and also Kuzan kidnaps teenage girls while Orochimaru consentually recruits young children)

But yeah, both are stronger then the MC's idols since Hiruzen> Minato and Sengoku>Shanks:goyea:

This Muzan is literally like 10x stronger than the one that's been drugged 4 times that fights all of the Hashira. I've seen Stone Skin banned in video discussions about the strongest breathing techniques because of how big of an outlier that feat is lol

Crazy that it took 3 Hashira and a demon+luck to defeat the first... if Luck was not around they all would be killed.

Nope. Akaza calls transparent world “the realm of the strongest… which I could never reach.”

Any Hashira that unlocks it has a shot against him, and not only that it was implied Akaza was outright fodder to Base Koku

The whole "hashira can't beat an upper moon" isn't counting transparent world or marks.

Sukuna easily. Muzan only went up against 5 Hashira (3 of which had just gonna out of extreme diff fights) and Tanjiro’s squad, who were all too weak to have any chance at killing him and had to win by time out. Sukuna went up against Gojo Satoru, Kashimo, Yuji, Higuruma, Choso, Ino, Kusakabe, Yuta, Maki, Miguel, Larue, Mei Mei, Ui Ui, Todo, Hana, Utahime, Gakuganji, Yujo, and Nobara

Tanjiro who was barely Hashira level decapitated Akaza moment's after getting the transparent world + Akaza flat out implying he's below transparent world users + statements of Koku being on a different level to other upper moons (because Koku has transparent world) = any Hashira who unlocked transparent world has an argument to beat an upper moon 6-3 1v1


This isn't even a hot take, anyone who studies the powerscaling in demon slayer and/or reads the supplementary material.

Muzan even when drugged is absurdly above Koku who is absurdly above the other upper rank demons. You can literally think of each level difference as being like 5x lmao. Like Muzan to Koku is like Kaido to King and Muzan to any other upper rank is like Kaido to a Tobiroppo.

Now look at Muichiro and Sanemi against Koku. Sanemi’s combat speed >>>> Marked Muichiro’s combat speed > Base Muichiro’s combat speed > Mitsuri’s combat speed > Tengen’s combat speed

Sanemi underwent a training arc though.
Muichiro also mentioned Uzui in the Koku fight, he said that he wished he was as gifted as him physically. Uzui would have fought better than Muichiro if they both have the same injuries.

The fact that Tanjiro mentioned Uzui when he‘s already seen Rengoku, and Giyu confirms that Uzui is fast as fuck and was the golden standard for speed. Mitsuri’s attack speed is fast but her combat speed overall is shit as she’s inexperienced.
Obanai babysat her in the Muzan fight lol
