Unless you think Inuarashi, practitioner of Oden 2 sword style, Odens protege, and the Daimyo of Kuri, is the new gen Oden Coby being a protege and copying Garps fighting style means jack shit.
Inuarashi was never called the "future of Wano/the Samurai" nor was he Oden's only protege who was called a hero just like Oden was.
Let's be honest here, when we could immediately see that Rayleigh was a parallel to Zoro before even knowing what his relationship with Gaban was, why do we need so many excuses for why Koby ISN'T a parallel to Garp?
Oda doesn't care as much as the people on this forum do. He wouldn't do all this with Koby, put him in a spread filled with people who are all going to be VERY important in the final war, and have Garp nearly die for him just for him to get one shot by Luffy again.
Smoker is around 54 years old, his only real fight in the series was against a random Vet level dude which he only could have won extreme diff (so you can't even say he would really stand a chance against Luffy, either, since G3 or G4 would wipe him out fast based on that portrayal), and the only similarities he has to Garp is he's chased Luffy a few times and doesn't like to suck up to the CDs. That's not nearly enough to say he'll be the new Garp especially when the story's entire theme is the NEW generation surpassing the old generation, NOT the mid generation. Smoker is reaching the age where he could retire already.

Kuzan is fighting for change??? in which Three Piece?? The guy got his ass kicked by Saka and now empowers genocidal freaks and mass murderers. What change did he bring to the Marines? Fujitora...yea, that's Fuji fucking tora. Nobody in the marines history is built like that man.

Oda parades Garp as the good guy while showing him not doing anything about the slave trade auction pre-TS in Sabody, and even commenting on how Rayleigh probably just let himself get caught. Failing to see how that translates to Oda parading him as a good guy. This man sat in Sengoku's office and laughed at Luffy fucking up Ennis Lobby. He's never been the symbol of utmost morality.

I thought Garp being a marine simply because he likes catching criminals and pirates was pretty clear. He's not a symbol of morality, never claimed to be one either. It's literally fanmade, headcannons of him creating SWORD or some other non-sense. Hell the man also only ever commented on the CD once in the entire series, which was just related to his behavior of being blunt about things. He's not fighting for any change, he's simply a military dude out there to fight criminals, that's it. I have no idea where this goody goody guy with the most righteous moral perception for Garp comes from. He's the same as Smoker.
Lmfao you've completely missed the mark on Kuzan.

Kuzan used to have passionate justice prior to Ohara, after Ohara the only time he ever showed passion was for the Fleet Admiral position. A position with by far the most influence in the Navy. When he couldn't get it, he couldn't stomach being in the CD bootlicker role for a single second longer, precisely because he's not a fraud.

Coby isn’t Garps only protege either. And all of SWORD was called the future of the marines by Garp.

Discounting this is insane agenda

And we knew the parallels because of connection to Luffy. That’s what everything circles around, Zoro was a Rayleigh parallel because he and Ray have the same relationship to Luffy and Roger. Same with Gaban and Sanji.

Just like Smoker has the same relationship to Luffy as Garp does to Roger. The Coby parallel is like the Law and Whitebeard parallels.

Reborn

Throughout Heaven & Earth,I alone am d Honored One
Final Villain BB back in the menu @Reborn :crazwhat:
It was never off the menu for me lol

I argued in the past as well.

That Luffy vs BB won't be just PK level fight....because this fight goes back to ancient kingdom and we learnt that Xebec looked upto Davy Jones which means Davy Jones was counter part of Joyboy.

It was Joyboy - Davy - IMU

It will be Luffy - Teach - IMU this time.

I didn't miss any point, you said Kuzan is fighting for change and grouped him with Fujitora who as an admiral is causing not only internal marine change of ideology but also political change in the structure of the WG. Thus I asked where Kuzan was causing that change. Since he didn't do as an admiral...

He didn't show passion for the position of fleet admiral, he showed passion to not making Akainu the fleet admiral, two different concepts. Naively believing Akainu would give it up when Kuzan hadn't done anything of significant as an Admiral, while Sakazuki was actively an individual influencing things actively instead of being lazy... with Marineford making it evident who should lead the Marines.

After getting his ass kicked, he goes into depression and spends his days drinking. He then meets Teach, who brings some life into this man. Now with w.e goal he has in mind that we're unaware of, he empowers mass murderers.

@Bold, see how you had to create headcannon, that doesn't have a single manga panel supporting it, to make Kuzan look good? The fight was meant to be a death battle, Akainu let him live. You think any man with pride is going to stay in the same organization as the guy who not only crippled you but also showed you mercy when it was meant to be a death battle... a death battle that Kuzan started... like bruhz what??
