Interesting take, I think I agree overall but I also vastly prefer :re to OG Tokyo Ghoul. TG has the best cast of the 3 but Griffith is the best character in any of those manga IMO and Guts/Griffith is the best dynamic in fiction to me.

Hard to say. He said he was only going to adapt the plot points he remembered in detail, so everything else is going to be pretty barebones so I wouldn't be surprised if we reach the ending quicker than people expect.

Fate zero feels totally different from the og yet somehow it is the best title in the franchise and what put the series on the map (alongside ufotable). All bc Urobochi worked his magic

All classics of the dark fantasy genre, and yes, Fate Zero is way different from the OG ecchi slop. I’d compare him to the creator of movies like Perfect Blue and Paprika if you’ve watched that shit.

Back when I didn't know better I thought the Fate series was gonna be just like Zero. Stay/Night UBW was so shocking to me, Fate/Zero had like no fanservice (ecchi kind) and all of a sudden I'm following some retarded highschool MC (basically Coby) and his tsundere girlfriend. I find out the Fate franchise is based off some hentai game?

Turned out Fate/Zero was the odd one out, it was just a one off created after. No wonder.

I admit I didn't read all chapters about Chainsaw Man - I only saw the anime - but you can't deny that Denji was seriously down bad lol. Also, Chainsaw Man isn't bad but Psycho Pass is simply on a whole other level, S1 of course.

Tbh its not a manga forr me i understood from chap 1 but got recommended so hard i barely finished it. Fujimotos style doesnt suit me at all.

I watched it in August 2023 then watched it all again in July of this year.
I think you just need to rewatch it honestly, it's definitely not as bad as you remember.
While you're at it also give Yu Yu Hakusho a try
