No hate on HxH though ofc, I'm just happy to see Yu Yu get some love. I will eventually stop being lazy and try it out one day as I know I will love parts of it guaranteed at least. Youtube randomly showed me a clip recently of Leorio punching Ging and I died laughing:

I still gotta get around to Hellsing as well FML lmao. Finishing Drifters or well rewatching it first too.

Ngl, I have to agree with @TheAncientCenturion : Oda is really terrible at writing good threatening villains ever since WCI. The issue is he introduces a new powerful or already existing group but then uses them as hypetools in the moment when they are supposed to show why they are feared like that.

As much as I find it funny how Garling got wrecked, this guy was the leader of the Holy Jobbers in God Valley - the same rank like Shamrock whom presumably was near Shanks level, yet he got low diffed despite having a whole ass demon army on his side. Sure, it means Xebec is too powerful but Idk...
Oda really doesn't give a shit about 99% of his villains and consistently treats them as non-threats in this story. Arguably the worst of the Big 3 when it comes to villains.

Post timeskip one piece is very good but
Post timeskip One Piece is objectively not very good. This is very easy to prove.

Skypiea which was an arc so long, I dropped One Piece on my first read/watch, is shorter than Egghead, which is like a transition arc post timeskip, and genuinely feels like a short arc for post skip standards. Let me repeat that. Egghead would be the single longest arc pre timeskip.

If that doesn't tell you how bad post skip One Piece has been....

I knew his ass was cooked when he made Big Mom one shot Page One because he couldn't even come up with a way for Usopp to beat Page One

I don't even know how people got brainwashed into believing Skypiea is too long or not worth it because of poor quality. It's top 3 OP arcs.

Fate zero was masterclass no doubt but ngl the ending was depressing af. I prefer stories to end on a positive note and have a semblance of hope so I didnt find UBW as bad. Nasu is a great writer in general he was js hampered by doujin standards back then

Is it even arguable that he's not the worst?
He's got Crocodile, Doffy and kinda Enel in his pocket to help against the many villains he's shit on.

And Kubo has Aizen (objecitvely bad antagonist), a broken final arc with dozens of half developed villains
And Kishi has Obito

So there's at least some room to compare but god damn, at least Kishi/Kubo knew when to keep their villains threatening and when not to shit on them.

Underselling AOT
Not at all. AOT had arguably the worst ending for anything to ever exist. It is such utter horseshit, that even rewatching the series feels like a waste (that's mostly cause AOT's draw was the mystery).

What makes it worse is that If Isayama didn't fumble the ending, nothing would be touching AOT as a story. Berserk, Kingdom etc. would look like Demon Slayer next to it.
